Diane J. Harrison, Esq.

Experience: headshot2013a.jpg

  • Diane Harrison was born and raised in Weirton, West Virginia. In 1982, she graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation, she went to work for Rockwell International Corporation, in Canoga Park, California, where she was responsible for managing and processing the radioactive, hazardous, and mixed radioactive wastes generated at the Rockwell International Hot Laboratory. In 1989, Rockwell began phasing out its Hot Laboratory operations, so Diane left Rockwell for an engineering position with the U.S. Department of Energy, Yucca Mountain Site Characterization Project Office, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked on waste package design, repository design, and systems engineering for the high-level radioactive waste geologic repository being developed 100 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
  • After fifteen (15) years of “interpreting” and “implementing” the law regarding radioactive, hazardous, and mixed radioactive wastes, Diane decided to pursue “practicing” the law. So, she loaded up the truck and moved to St. Pete – Florida that is. In 2000, Diane graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Stetson Law Review and was awarded the Cecil C. and Augusta Bailey Award in recognition of her character, academic achievement, and capacity for meritorious leadership in the field of law.
  • In 2001, Diane began developing her own securities and corporate practice, with the guidance of some very knowledgeable and experienced mentors.  Now, she advises organizations with entity selection and registration, prepares memorandums for private securities placements, prepares registraton statements to register companies with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for primary and secondary public offerings, assists companies with their listing applications to FINRA, prepares share exchange, merger, and acquisition documents for various business combinations, advises on SEC and FINRA compliance, and prepares and files reports required by the SEC.
  • Diane and her husband, Michael, met in Las Vegas in 1992. They now live in Manatee County, Florida, with their "kids" (a papillon and a chinese crested) and enjoy tennis, bowling, and, not surprisingly, playing Texas Hold’em poker.
